The work we do at the Jackson Health Foundation is fundamentally personal. Our strength lies in the connections to the miracles performed daily throughout the Jackson Health System – and in the knowledge that we each have been impacted by those miracles, whether personally or through someone we know. It is our connection to Jackson that drives the Foundation’s purpose, our mission, and what we value.
My connection is personal. I was born at Jackson Memorial Hospital, and now as CEO of the Jackson Health Foundation I make sure that Jackson has the critical funding necessary to fulfill its mission of providing the very best healthcare to our community. Through the generosity of our many donors, the Foundation has raised over $140 million since its inception, to improve patient care at Jackson.
From its inception in 1918 as Miami City Hospital, Jackson has always been the first and foremost provider of care for our community. Today, that legacy continues. We have grown from a hospital with 13 patient beds to a sprawling health system with more than 2,400 beds and 10,000 employees. Our doctors, nurses and staff ensure that world class care is provided to every person who walks through our doors. That is what makes Jackson a great health system.
I am proud to be a part of the Jackson family and to be able to lead the Jackson Health Foundation. My commitment is to make sure that we continue to create avenues by which donors are able to join us in our efforts to financially support Jackson, providing the funds needed to have the very best facilities, technology and programs.
Please join us at the Jackson Health Foundation as we help Jackson perform miracles every day.
